Hello, I am Mohammad Reza, a graphic design student from the class of 1400 (2021) and the creator of the piece titled Bim (Fear). Bim is an attempt to represent modern-day individuals who experience fear in pursuit of their goals. These individuals imagine that, despite their efforts, they may fail to achieve their aspirations, leading to stagnation. This immobilization stems from the fear that their current possessions—symbolized in this piece by the milk contained within a vessel—may be lost if they try to break free. Chains are depicted pulling the vessel, suggesting that any movement may overturn it and cause the little they have to spill and vanish.

However, unbeknownst to them, beneath this milk—representing social privilege—there is a tightly wound support element, a strong screw. This screw secures the vessel, ensuring that even if they break free from the chains, the milk will not spill, allowing them to benefit without the feared loss.

Additionally, we observe certain spoon elements in the piece, some of which are attached to others, indicating a dependency. These connected spoons are placed further back compared to the singular, independent spoon elements and, despite having fewer chains to break, are still engulfed in fear of losing their possessions.

Lastly, the third notable feature is the placement of the spoons along the edges of the piece, symbolizing the lack of access to resources and opportunities experienced by certain segments of society.
